A reduced mark-up of 1% applied to fertilisers under the CBAM pricing; a duty relief on ammonia, urea and certain other fertilisers; and the launch of a European Fertilisers Action Plan before the summer: Wopke Hoekstra, European Commissioner for Climate, outlined the measures taken to limit the increase in fertiliser prices linked to the entry into force of the CBAM on 01/01/2026, rather than suspending its application to fertilisers, as requested by farmers’ unions across Europe.
