FR / Monique Barbut's office: Pacôme Dupont-Guianvarch appointed health and water advisor

Pacôme Dupont-Guianvarch has been appointed Health and Water Advisor in the Cabinet of Monique Barbut, Minister for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity and International Negotiations on Climate and Nature, with effect from 09/03/2026, by an order dated 02/03/2026, published in the Journal officiel on 04/03/2026.

She replaces Marine Sarfati, whose duties were terminated on 13/02/2026. She had been in post since 14/10/2025.

Pacôme Dupont-Guianvarch is an engineering graduate from the École des Ponts, des Eaux et des Forêts and was Director of Natural Spaces and Aquatic Environments at the Cergy Pontoise Urban Community (Val d'Oise / Ile de France Region). She began her career as a researcher on the 2015 CAP reform and its influence on the development of agriculture, for AgroParisTech in 2018. She joined the Ministry of Agriculture and Food in 2019 as a researcher at the Centre d'études et de prospective. That same year, she became Head of the Calvados Orne operations department at the Seine-Normandy Water Agency.
