Salon de l'agriculture: the winners of the general agricultural competition for agro-ecological practices

The 13 prizes in the Concours Général Agricole des Pratiques Agroécologiques were awarded on 25/02/2026, in the presence of Monique Monique Barbut, the French Minister for Transition, at the Salon International de l'Agriculture, the organisers announced on 26/02.

Each year, this competition honours French farmers who reconcile quality agricultural production, environmental protection and adaptation to climate change.

The following farmers have been awarded :
• 6 farmers in the "Agroforestry" category, which includes trees in their production system: they have distinguished themselves by their ability to "combine economic performance, climate adaptation and the creation of sustainable value for the region", says the organisation.

"Over and above these environmental benefits, trees and hedgerows are now a concrete economic lever. Their sustainable management enables the wood produced to be put to good use, contributing to the energy autonomy of farms and the development of local wood-energy industries."
