FR / Pollution: publication of specified methods for monitoring discharged substances (Journal Officiel)

The standardised reference methods for measurements in the air, water and soil in installations classified for environmental protection are specified in a notice published in the Journal Officiel on 18/02/2026.

This text supplements "the standardised reference methods referred to in an implementing decision of the European Commission establishing the conclusions on best available techniques under the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) and emissions from livestock farming".

The methods previously referred to in the notice of 16/05:2025, which this text repeals, "shall also remain so for a period of 12 months from the publication of this notice in the Official Journal".

According to the procedures set out, measurements in the air, water or soil are carried out by :
• "a laboratory that has, for the parameters concerned, the approval of the ministry of the Ecological Transition,
• by a laboratory accredited to standard NF EN ISO/IEC 17025;
• or by a body that is a signatory to the multilateral agreement taken within the framework of the European coordination of accreditation bodies".
