Laurent Naves has been appointed Head of public affairs at Suez, the company announced on 26/01/2026. He was previously chief of staff to Agnès Pannier-Runacher at the Ministry of Ecological Transition between September 2024 and November 2025. He was also sub-prefect of Toul (Meurthe-et-Moselle), between September 2021 and September 2024. He replaces Vincent Menuet, who has held the post since November 2022.

" Serving a strategic State has been a deeply enriching experience. Through these roles, both in Paris and in Toul, I have had the opportunity to fulfil my sense of commitment and public service. It is also these experiences that have shaped my decision to pursue this commitment in the private sector today, because the ecological transition is every sector's business. Only a systemic commitment - bringing together public and private players at national and local level - will enable us to meet the challenge of the century", said Laurent Naves.
