SSE: T. Brostrøm appointed Managing Director for business development, J.Allen, Chief Procurement officer

Thomas Brostrøm is appointed Managing Director for business development of SSE, announced the British-Irish energy company on 23/01/2026.

"With a strong track record of building and scaling businesses in both mature and emerging markets, Thomas Brostrøm will lead the development of international projects across SSE’s technologies through to Final Investment Decision, helping to unlock the global growth opportunities ahead", outlines the company.

Thomas Brostrøm is "bringing more than 15 years of international leadership experience across renewables, project development, investment and portfolio management", SSE says. He was the President and CEO of Ørsted North America from 2015 to 2020. In 2021, he joined Shell as Senior VP and then Executive VP for renewable solutions. Since October 2023, he has been Chief Investment Officer at ACWA Power (a Saudi company).
