"100% of the world's GDP depends on nature. If you have no nature, you have no humanity, no business, no dividend, no shareholders and no time for that to work", said André Hoffmann, Vice Chairman of Roche Pharmaceuticals, at the Panel discussion "Business Case for Nature" at the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), on 20/01/2026.

"Corporate organisations play a crucial role in conservation, pointed out Kirsten Schuijt, Director General of WWF International. There is a huge shift, as what used to be a conversation between WWF and corporates on climate and energy has now also become a conversation on freshwater, on forests, on food."

"A lot of the industry is now headed in the direction of using as few natural resources through their supply chain as possible, which is a huge mindset shift, declared Rohini Nilekani, Founder and Chair of Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies. The corporate world has to create new financial instruments to bring in private capital to assist alongside philanthropic and government capital."
