FR / Ecological planning: Simon-Pierre Sengayrac appointed Head of Regional COPs Programme at the SGPE

Simon-Pierre Sengayrac has been appointed Head of Regional COPs programme, in charge of regional support, at the SGPE ( Secrétariat Général de la planification écologique / French public General Secretariat for Ecological Planning), on 19/01/2026.

According to the SGPE, he will "use his expertise to help structure and boost regional COPs". The aim is to 'localise ecological planning and help territories accelerate their transition projects', said Simon-Pierre Sengayrac.

Graduated from HEC Paris, he also holds a master's degree in public affairs from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and the École Normale Supérieure (ENS). He began his career at BearingPoint as a digital and strategy analyst. He then joined EY as head of financing strategies for the ecological transition before becoming a public policy specialist.

At the same time, he taught at Paris Dauphine University and Sciences Po Paris. Since 2023, he has been co-director of the French Observatoire de l'économie.
