FR / CEA : Hugo Tritz appointed Head of European public affairs

Hugo Tritz has been appointed Head of European Public Affairs in the European Affairs Division of the French Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives ( CEA / French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission), the French public agency announced on 19/01/2026. He has held the post since December 2025 and replaces Maxime Port, who held the post between December 2024 and November 2025. Maxime Port is now responsible for Orano's strategic development.

Hugo Tritz was previously in charge of public affairs at the CEA's Brussels office (Belgium) since November 2023. He was also responsible for nuclear policy in the cabinets of French Prime Ministers Jean Castex and Elisabeth Borne between September 2021 and October 2023, where his main task was to monitor issues relating to the implementation of the Euratom Treaty in France.
