€34 M for sustainable ports in Cabo Verde and €35.8 M for clean energy in Tunisia; these are the two European investments in the world's transitions by the European Investment Bank / Global , from 16/01/2026 to 23/01/2026.

In Europe, this week, a total of €635 M has been allocated by the EIB to three projects: €35 M for electric-vehicle charging hubs in Central and Eastern Europe (Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia) to the Estonian start-up Eleport, €100 M for energy efficiency and waste management in Portugal to the food retailer industrial MC and €500 M for flood protection and climate adaptation in Germany to two German regional water management associations, Emschergenossenschaft and Lippeverband.
