Agenda of the week: events not to be missed between 19/01 and 23/01/2026

This week's highlight will be the Plenary session of the European Parliament taking place in Strasbourg from 19/01, with the Mercosur deal at the core of discussions. Farmers plan to protest against it and for a better distribution of CAP resources.

In Davos, the world leaders, businesses, civil society, and academia will meet at the World Economic Forum. Jessika Roswall will participate in several talks, including one titled "Will We Ever Have a Global Plastics Treaty?" on 22/01/2026.

The first Envi Committee of 2026 will take place in Strasbourg, in the margins of the Plenary session, on Monday. Jessika Roswall will be present to discuss her Environmental Omnibus and the Framework for an EU Bioeconomy.

On Thursday and Friday, the 9^th Sustainable and Impact Investments International Conference will take place in Hamburg (Germany).
