WindEurope: Tinne Van der Straeten appointed Chief Executive Officer from 02/02/2026

Tinne Van der Straeten has been appointed CEO of WindEurope with effect from 02/02/2026, the association representing Europe's wind energy industry announced on 12/01/2026. Tinne Van der Straeten replaces Giles Dickson, whose departure was announced on 08/07/2025.

She was previously a Member of the Belgian Parliament and served as the country's Federal Minister for Energy from 2020 to 2025. She is a graduate of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).

" The wind energy sector is at a turning point. The industry is ready to accelerate and provide more than 600,000 jobs by 2030. But it is being held back by authorisation difficulties and infrastructure delays. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to help unlock the full potential of wind energy for Europe," says Tinne Van der Straeten.
