SimplyBlue Group: David Povall appointed new Chairman of the board of the offshore windfarm arm

David Povall is appointed Chairman of the board of SimplyBlue Energy OSW, the offshore windfarm arm of the SimplyBlue Group, headquartered in Cork (Ireland), announced the Group on 08/01/2026.

As Chair, he will "oversee board governance, support long-term strategic planning and guide the company through its next phase of development".

"His vision, governance expertise, deep sector experience align with our mission to scale our operations and advance our offshore wind initiatives, while making a significant contribution to the clean energy transition", said Hugh Kelly, CEO and co-funder of the SimplyBlue Group.

In addition to the appointment of the new Chair, Hugh Kelly also welcomed 4 new directors to its Board: Kazuma Fukai, Makoto Takeuchi, Yuki Koshida and Chris Gaydon.
