Tara Singh has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of RenewableUK, the association representing the UK renewable industries, the organisation announced on 08/01/2027.

She will take up the role in late February, succeeding former CEO Dan McGrail, who led the organisation from 2021 to 2025 and became Chief Executive Officer of Great British Energy in March. The interim leadership has since been ensured by Jane Cooper, the current Deputy CEO.

A graduate of University of Cambridge in social and political sciences, Tara Singh previously served as Managing Director for Public Policy at the public relations firm Burson from November 2023. She has also held senior roles within Shell’s Renewables and Energy Solutions division and at 10 Downing Street as Energy and Environment Adviser to the Prime Minister, RenewableUK said.

As Chief Executive Officer, "her priority will be to ensure that government and industry work more closely together to drive growth, strengthen energy security, reduce energy bills, and deliver investment across the UK", she declared on 08/01/2026.
