Agrivoltaics: a first tender won in France by European Energy in Allier (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region)

European Energy has won two tenders in France for two agrivoltaic projects, awarded by the French energy regulatory commission (CRE)", announced the company on 18/12/2025.

In Saint-Voir, in the Allier department (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region), two agrivoltaic parks have been under development since 2021 - Les Mathiaux and La Forge - in line with the French law APER relative to the acceleration of renewable energies production.

"The Contracts-for-Difference (CfDs) for the two projects cover a combined installed capacity of 15 MW, and the total capacity of the two parks is 21.2 MW", outlined European Energy.

According to Nicolas König, VP and country manager for France, the selection of the projects by the CRE "confirms the company’s ability to develop projects that comply with national regulations while creating tangible value to local agricultural activities, while fully integrating environmental considerations".
