Wind power: 442,800 jobs in Europe IN 2024; shortages expected by 2030 (WindEurope)

Europe’s wind energy sector employed 442,800 people in 2024, according to a WindEurope report published on 15/12/2025.
Of these, 210,700 jobs, or 48%, were direct positions within wind energy companies. A further 232,100 jobs, or 52%, were indirect, covering activities where the wind industry interacts with other parts of the economy.
