The collaboration between the French company, present and active in China since 2014, with a 8000 staff workforce, with the public Chinese infrastructure development agency will focus on an innovative waste heat recovery technology.
The thermal energy from industrial flue gases present in the zone will be converted into steam and electricity for direct use by local enterprises in the industrial park. This new project creates an integrated model of "pollution control / energy recovery”: a new approach and technology which enables to turn industrial decarbonization into a value-generating activity.
Upon completion, the project is expected to reduce 200,000 tons of carbon per year, adding on the 500,000 tonnes already avoided each year through Veolia activities in China.
