FR: Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies acquiring majority stake of sustainability consulting firm R3

Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies (CAT&E) has taken a majority stake in R3, now holding 70% of the company, the two companies announced on 04/12/2025.

The move consolidates the partnership initiated in 2023 between the bank and the consulting firm: this new step aims to "accelerate the sustainable transition and strengthen the climate-adaptation capacity of economic actors across French territories". R3’s team of 150 transition specialists will reinforce CAT&E’s capacity to scale concrete, high-impact solutions for corporate clients.

Since its creation, in 2021, R3 has positioned itself as a "leader of environmental and social performance for companies", deploying impact-driven solutions for more than 1,500 SMEs, mid-caps and large companies. Its offer combines strategic consulting, digital tools and equipment financing, covering carbon expertise, climate adaptation, CSR, energy-performance contracts and turnkey operational execution.
