FR: The three IPCC Working Groups convened for the first time in Saint-Denis from 01 to 05/12/2025

IPCC's three Working Groups will be meeting in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis / Paris region) from 01 to 05/12/2025. The meeting will provide an opportunity to formally launch the preparation of the 7^th assessment report (AR7) by the groups of experts. Monique Barbut, French Minister for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity and International Negotiations on Climate and Nature, has officially opened the meeting on 01/12/2025 at 9am.

"For the first time, IPCC's 664 experts meet in the same place at the same time. France is very proud to host this event. We are at a time when scientific discourse is being called into question. IPCC is under attack. For France, hosting this event sends a very clear political message of support for the work of the IPCC, which must form the groundwork for tackling climate change", stated Monique Barbut's office on 28/11/2025.
