FR: The three IPCC Working Groups convened for the first time in Saint-Denis from 01 to 05/12/2025

IPCC's three Working Groups will be meeting in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis / Paris region) from 01 to 05/12/2025. The meeting will provide an opportunity to formally launch the preparation of the 7th assessment report (AR7) by the groups of experts. Monique Barbut, French Minister for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity and International Negotiations on Climate and Nature, has officially opened the meeting on 01/12/2025 at 9am.

"For the first time, IPCC's 664 experts meet in the same place at the same time. France is very proud to host this event. We are at a time when scientific discourse is being called into question. IPCC is under attack. For France, hosting this event sends a very clear political message of support for the work of the IPCC, which must form the groundwork for tackling climate change", stated Monique Barbut's office on 28/11/2025.
