FR: €1.3 Bn contract for a waste-to-energy plant secured by Paprec

1.3 Bn€ is the total value of the 26-year public service delegation contract signed on 19/11/2025 between Paprec Energies and the Sietrem (Syndicat mixte pour l’enlèvement et le traitement des résidus ménagers / Joint waste management association) for waste-to-energy conversion.

The Sietrem manages waste in 31 communes in the north of Seine-et-Marne, in the Ile-de-France region. The contract includes the modernisation and upgrading of the existing waste-to-energy plant in Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes .

After completion of the works, the facility will operate with two new furnaces and two treatment lines, ensuring continuity of the waste treatment service and supply to the district heating network. The target capacity is 215,000 tonnes of recovered waste per year, producing 146 GWh/year of electricity and 57 GWh/year of heat.
