The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has chosen the winning consortium that will lead EIT Water, the new Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) in the Water, Marine and Maritime sectors and ecosystems, announced the Commission on 13/11/2025.

This consortium, named Allwaters and made of 50 partners from 24 countries, will lead EIT Water in line with the source-to-sea approach of the European Water Resilience Strategy and European Ocean Pact.

EIT Water's mission is to accelerate solutions that respond to growing environmental, economic and social pressures on Europe’s water systems, including:
• water scarcity, drought and floods;
• marine and freshwater ecosystem degradation;
• the circular and sustainable blue economy.

To do so, the consortium will focus mainly on water innovation. In partnership with Horizon Europe, EIT will support education, skills, deployment and commercialisation of innovation by connecting innovators, researchers, and learners within Europe’s largest innovation network.
