"We are all working towards a shared goal, that of preserving our planet," said Jules Nyssen, Chairman of the Syndicat des énergies renouvelables, as he opened the National Forum on Renewable Energies and Biodiversity, organised by the Syndicat des énergies renouvelables at the Académie du climat in Paris (4^th arrondissement) on 06/11/2025.

The theme of this third edition was "Energy transition and preservation of living organisms: a global and territorial challenge"."We are starting to gather fairly objective information on the impact of renewable energies on biodiversity. Projects cannot have a ‘zero’ impact, but this is not about granting a ‘licence to kill’. We need to find the right balance," said Jules Nyssen.

"We often complain that there is too much regulation, yet at the same time we are multiplying doctrines, charters and guides. I hope that our central administration, as well as local and democratic authorities, will act to stop the proliferation of standards that create constraints and fuel legal challenges.
