"Nuclear energy must be at the forefront of the fight against global warming", Matthieu Euvrard, International Director of Gifen, told News Tank on 06/11/25.He was reacting to the signing of a joint declaration by 17 national and international associations representing the nuclear industry, which called for the commitment to trebling global nuclear capacity by 2050 to be upheld. The declaration was signed on 06/11/25 at WNE 2025 in the presence of Monique Barbut, the Minister for Ecological Transition and International Climate Negotiations, and ahead of COP30.

" It's very much linked to climate awareness. As soon as the issue became central, the way the financial community looked at it changed. Some banks took a stand, and today all financial institutions are ready to support the sector depending on the programmes and resources available', said Matthieu Euvrard.
