EC: disbursement of €175,4 M to Denmark under NextGenerationEU

The Commission green-lighted, on 04/11/2025, Denmark´s fourth payment request of €175.4 million under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RFF), the centrepiece of NextGenerationEU.
Following its assessment of the payment request, the Commission found that Denmark has satisfactorily completed 5 milestones and 8 targets set out in its own national Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The five milestones are:
• speeding up the roll-out of onshore wind and solar energy and ensuring phasing out of gas for heating;
• organising the organic transition in public kitchens and developing an organic food system through dedicated training;
• building 45 km of new bike paths and establishing 75 bike charging stations for an easier transition to sustainable transport;
• advancing the implementation of the Green Tax Reform by supporting sustainable investments in over 1,000 companies;
• contributing to the construction of at least 4 GW of additional offshore wind capacity.
