BW ESS: Stefanio Venier & Dr. Georg Müller appointed members of the Board Of Directors

Stefanio Venier and Georg Müller have been appointed, on 16/10/2025, members of the Board of Directors of BW ESS, a global developer, owner and operator of large-scale energy storage systems, currently managing and developing a portfolio of projects in six major countries ( UK, Italy, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Australia). It has more than 500MWh of operating BESS projects, with 3.3GWh under construction and a development pipeline of about 9.5GWh.

Stefano Venier is the former CEO of SNAM, Italy’s gas transmission system operator (TSO), and Hera, one of Italy’s major utility companies. His deep understanding of the European and Italian energy markets and extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure and system integration will be valuable as BW ESS expands its activities.
