Regenerative agriculture: partnership between PepsiCo and Soil Capital for rapeseed production in Europe

PepsiCo and Soil Capital have signed a long-term partnership to accelerate the adoption of regenerative agriculture by oilseed rape growers in France, Belgium and the UK, the two companies announced on 21/10/2025. The programmes will cover 14,000 hectares of farmland supplying key ingredients for PepsiCo brands such as Lay's and Walkers.

" This initiative will offer farmers in PepsiCo's European supply chain access to Soil Capital's expertise and tools to implement more sustainable practices, such as reducing synthetic inputs in favour of organic fertilisers and growing green cover crops. These efforts will improve soil health, optimise water use, prevent land degradation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions," says PepsiCo.

The programmes provide financial incentives to support the costs of adopting practices such as reduced tillage, cover cropping and organic fertilisation. Farmers will also benefit from professional agronomic support throughout their transition, as well as access to digital tools to track their carbon footprint.
