FR / Tereos: €811,450 in bonuses paid to nearly 400 farmers committed to low-carbon practices

For the 2024/2025 campaign, nearly 400 farmers have benefited from a total premium of €811,450 paid at the end of September 2025 for the implementation of low-carbon practices and regenerative agriculture, the French cooperative Tereos announced on 23/10/2025.

" The payment of this premium reflects the strong commitment made by Tereos over several years to more sustainable agriculture and the recognition of the results obtained across our value chain. It illustrates the beet industry's ability to combine agronomic, economic and environmental performance," says Gérard Clay, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Tereos has covered 75% of the cost of 1,000 agricultural carbon audits. To date, more than 850 cooperative members have already carried out a carbon audit, 270 of them are involved in a "Low Carbon Label" project, and more than 60 are involved in regenerative agriculture.
