Nicolas Clausset was appointed energy, climate and transport adviser to the President of the Republic by an order published in the Official Journal on 23/10/2025.

He has held this position since 01/07/2025. Nicolas Clausset was previously Deputy Chief of Staff to Marc Ferracci, then Minister for Industry and Energy, between January and June 2025.

Nicolas Clausset succeeds Benoît Faraco, Energy, Environment, Transport and Agriculture Adviser to the President of the Republic between 20/06/2022 and 14/06/2025. Benoît Faraco had been then appointed as ambassador in charge of negotiations on climate change, renewable energies and climate risk prevention.
