FR / François Villerez Chief of Staff to Mathieu Lefèvre, Minister Delegate for Ecological Transition

François Villerez has been appointed Chief of Staff to Mathieu Lefèvre, Minister Delegate to the Minister for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity and International Negotiations on Climate and Nature, with responsibility for Ecological Transition, according to an order dated 20/10/2025, published in the Journal Officiel on 23/10/2025. He took up his post on 16/10/2025.

François Villerez was previously advisor on the circular economy and risk prevention at the Ministry for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, Forestry, the Sea and Fisheries since 14/04/2025.

He was previously head of the eco-industrial and sustainable industrial development office at the French public Direction Générale des Entreprises (July 2015 - August 2017), head of the Anthropogenic Risk Prevention department at the Grand Est Région Dreal (Direction régionale environnement, aménagement et logement / regional direction for environment, planning and housing) (September 2017 - February 2022) and deputy regional director at the Occitanie Région Dreal (March 2022 - April 2025).
