FR /Call for "Sustainable coastal development" cooperation projects: applications until 30/01/2025

The rules for the "Sustainable coastal development" call for cooperation projects, co-organised by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the French Ministry of Ecological Transition, the French Development Agency, the French public agency Cerema, the Cités et Gouvernements locaux unis (CGLU / United Cities and Local Governments) alliance, the Ocean & Climate Platform (POC) and the Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM), were published on 16/10/2025.

Announced at the Summit of Coastal Cities and Regions held in Nice alongside the 3^rd United Nations Conference on the Oceans (Unoc 3) in June 2025, the call for projects is designed to strengthen decentralised cooperation on maritime and coastal issues. The scheme supports projects run by French local authorities in conjunction with foreign local authorities.

Projects must fall within one or more of the following three objectives:

• strengthening integrated coastline management as a tool for territorial development and regional cooperation;
• increasing the resilience of coastal territories by including local communities…
