EC / Next GenerationEU: €515.5 M disbursement green-lighted by the Commission

€515.5 M should be allocated to Austria under NextGenerationEU, after the Commission's greenlighted its third payment request on 20/10/2025. "Key focus areas include innovation, decarbonisation, renewable energy, circular economy, sustainable mobility, health, and education", declares the Commission.

NextGenerationEU was launched in 2020 and includes loans and grants provided to Member States through the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RFF).

Funded projects include:

• Support innovation in microelectronics and hydrogen sectors;
• Facilitate the repair of 200.000 electronic devices through a repair bonus program to extend product lifespans and reduce waste;
• Install 17.500 residential photovoltaic systems.

Other investments will be directed towards the care system to improve quality and accessibility of the service.
