"The Farm Sustainability Data Network (FSDN) will build on the FADN's (Farm Accountancy Data Network) legacy, expanding its scope to cover not only farms' income and business activities but also information on their environmental and social sustainability performance. The FSDN collects additional data to give a clearer view of the broader sustainability in agriculture, covering economic, environmental, and social factors", details the Commission during the conference of the 60 years of the FADN (which becomes the FSDN as of 2025), which took place in Brussels on 17/10/2025.

"Farmers need to know, when they are making decisions on their farm, how their decision to improve their profitability, their productivity, has an impact on their environmental and climate performance. They also need, if they want to do a better job when it comes to their environmental performance, whether this is going to impact, possibly positively, their profitability and productivity. We have farmers who are willing to embrace this new FSDN, and we need to make sure that we keep them on board", declares…
