Every manufacture is built around a production line. They buy materials, make products, and then put them on the market. Before they can do that, they need certification under a label or standard such as ISO or ISCC, each with its own set of criteria and requirements. Then, an auditor like Bureau Veritas comes in every 12 months to check that everything complies with those rules.
In each case, it corresponds to a certain set of specifications that it must meet. Certification is critical to a manufacturer's business; without it, it has no access to the market. What's more, the lower the carbon intensity of a product, the higher the price", Flore de Durfort, CEO of Atmen, told News Tank on 17/10/2025.

Atmen automates certification processes by processing operational data in the fields of hydrogen, synthetic fuels and biomethane.

"Biomethane, for instance, still relies heavily on paper records. Digitising and verifying that information is key", says Flore de Durfort.
