FR / Cerema: Karim Selouane appointed Deputy Director for European and International Affairs

Karim Selouane has been appointed deputy director of European and international affairs at Cerema, the public body told News Tank on 17/10/2025.

He takes up his post in October 2025 and was previously head of the Adapt'Action programme of the AFD (Agence Française de Développement / French Development Agency) , a position he held between September 2024 and July 2025. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2024, Karim Selouane had founded and managed Resalliance, VINCI's design office dedicated to adapting projects, cities, territories, infrastructures and their uses to climate change.
Since 2022, Karim Selouane is a member of the Mission Board on Adaptation to Climate Change of the European Commission.

Karim Selouane holds a PhD in Geosciences from the Ecole des Mines.

He succeeds Franck Charmaison, who retired after ten years in the post.
