'We have obtained a presentation of the draft Budget for 2026. The situation is alarming. For several years now, we have had the feeling that, when it comes to public decision-making, taking account of the challenges of ecological transition — as reflected in our public environmental policies on water, waste and energy — has been the variable used for adjustments. We are witnessing setbacks in crucial areas where action is required", said Jean-François Debat, 1st vice-president of the French association Amorce, at the association's 39th congress on 15/10/2025.

" There are currently setbacks on issues such as the thermal renovation of housing with Ma Prime Rénov' (French subsidy to households) and heating networks, which are nonetheless those where the balance between public cost and energy benefit is the highest. By sacrificing Ademe's budget and questioning its very existence through parliamentary debates and reports, we are undermining transition policies", he adds.
