EU: "save the forests" and cancel EUDR postponement (campaigners' call to the Commission)

"The laws that we have managed to secure are now in danger. It has been six days since we left France with our "Save our Forests" bus, collecting the voices of people affected by the bad practices of deforestation and also the ones who shared the good practices. We have been going around with a giant postcard for six days, on which we have collected hundreds of signatures. It will be given at the end of the day to the DG ENVI of the Commission, to transmit the call of citizens we met on the road", says Klervi Le Guenic from Canopée, at the arrival of the bus in Brussels, on 15/10/2025.

The event brought together activists, business alliances, forestry guards, and MEPs to call on the Commission to cancel the one-year EUDR postponement. This refers to the decision of the Commission on 23/09/2025 to further postpone EUDR obligations for businesses, for the second year in a row, due to a technical IT problem.
