619 MW of renewable energies added to the European grids thanks to six solar and wind farms projects in Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Spain and Romania: the six projects, all enabled by Apple, amount to $600 M in financing, announced the American company on 15/10/2025.

The company aims to be carbon neutral across its global footprint by the end of this decade, as stated in its Apple 2030 vision. As the energy it takes to charge Apple devices accounted for about 29 percent of Apple’s overall GHG emissions in 2024, Apple addresses these emissions by developing renewable energy projects connected to grids around the world.

“By 2030, we want our users to know that all the energy it takes to charge their iPhone or power their Mac is matched with clean electricity. Our new projects in Europe will help us achieve our ambitious Apple 2030 goal, while contributing to healthy communities, thriving economies, and secure energy sources across the continent” declared Lisa Jackson, Apple’s vice president of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives, on 15/10/2025.
