EU Ecolabel: 109.096 certified good and services in September 2025, +7% compared to March 2025

"The latest figures on EU Ecolabel-certified products and licences, released today, show how the EU Ecolabel is gaining momentum. With 109.096 certified goods and services now covered by 3.384 licences across Europe, this is the largest collection of eco-friendly choices ever brought together under the EU Ecolabel. Data shows that, since March 2025, certified products have increased by 7% (+6,723), while licences have grown by 4% (+136)", declared the European Commission on 09/10/2025.

The EU Ecolabel is a voluntary scheme, created in 1992, aiming to promote products that demonstrate a high environmental value.

In 2010, 21.301 products were certified EU Ecolabel, 75.795 in 2020, and it reached 109.096 in 2025.

The product categories where most products are certified are:
• Do-it-yourself products (38.096);
• Paper products (28.697);
• Cleaning-up products (14.912);
• Clothing and textile (11.168).
