EP/Sustainability Omnibus:"Greens won't support a bad deal" (The Greens / EFA)

"By reducing the number of European companies affected by transparency rules by 90% and those subject to due diligence requirements by 75%, by abolishing the European civil liability regime, and by ending companies' climate obligations, this agreement is not an attempt to simplify; it is a strategy for impunity. It is a victory for those who are doing everything they can to continue polluting and exploiting behind closed doors. It is a defeat for justice, human rights, and the planet. Europe deserves better than a majority of surrender; it deserves rules that protect human rights and the environment.
