USA: acquisition of a 49% stake in a portfolio of 10 Renewable Energy assets by Ares Management from EDPR

Ares Management announces the acquisition of a 49% interest in a portfolio of renewable energy assets in the United States from EDPR on 06/10/2025. The total estimated value for 100% of the portfolio is approximately $2.9Bn (€2.5Bn).

The transaction involves a portfolio of ten assets, totalling 1,632 MW of capacity, including 1,030 MW of solar, 402 MW of wind and 200 MW of storage, spread across four US electricity markets. All projects benefit from PPAs, with an average residual maturity of 18 years.

This investment brings the total capacity of generation assets owned, directly or indirectly, by the Ares Fund to approximately 5.7 GW, across 11 US States and five electric markets, present in the USA since september 2024.
