IUCN World Conservation Congress, Abu Dhabi (UAE), 9-15/10/2025

The next IUCN World Conservation Congress will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in the United Arab Emirates from 9 to 15/10/2025. The theme of the Congress is 'Powering Transformative Conservation'.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) involves over 1,400 member organisations, including states and government agencies at national and subnational levels, NGOs, indigenous peoples' organisations, scientific and academic institutions, and business associations.

The Congress comprises three components: the Forum (9-12/10/2025), which focuses on sustainable development, science, practice, and innovation; the Exhibition (9-13/10/2025), where exhibitors can showcase their research, innovations, and work ; and the Members' Assembly (13-15/10/2025), where the members will debate and vote on 40 draft motions. Once adopted, these motions become resolutions and recommendations that inform IUCN's policies and programmes.


The IUCN World Conservation Congress takes place every four years in a different IUCN State Member country.
