FR / EV charging: inauguration of first wind-powered EV charging point (Oise / Hauts de France)

A direct connection between an EV charging point and a wind turbine, enabling a fixed charging rate of €0.30 per kWh: that is the first-of-its-kind combination offered by French EV charging operator Yaway, a subsidiary of Kallista Energy. This innovative system was inaugurated in Breteuil (Oise, Hauts-de-France) on 25/09/2025, an event attended by News Tank.

Kallista Energy, a producer of renewable energy since 2005, has been developing EV charging points since 2022, launching a pilot station in Normandy under the Yaway brand. The operator is now inaugurating its first high-power charging point linked to a wind turbine, with up to 80% of the delivered electricity (up to 400 kW) coming from the wind.

This setup came alongside the renewal of five wind turbines and the installation of two Siemens Sicharge charge points, offering four charging points in total, for a total investment of €19 M. The event was also attended by industrial partners (Enedis, Eiffage Énergies Systèmes and Siemens) and local councillors.
