FR / EV charging: €100m raised by Waat, "a major step forward opening European expansion" (P. Kic, CEO)

French EV-charging company Waat has raised €100m from a sustainable investment fund managed by the DWS group and Bpifrance, through investment bank Gottengreen, the partners announced on 25/09/2025. The historical shareholders, including RAISE Impact, which has been present since the end of 2022 with €30M of financing, will retain their stakes.

This fundraising should enable Waat to accelerate its development in France and Europe, while consolidating its position as a benchmark in the sector. Co-founded in May 2018 and chaired by Patrick Kic, this operator of electric recharging services specialises in the electrification of collective residential buildings, office buildings and company car parks. Its sales doubled between 2022 and 2023, reaching €50.2m with a net profit of €1.45m, and the company now has 300 employees across the country.
