"We take it for granted that farming is an attractive profession, but that's not the case. In some regions, fewer and fewer have the will to continue what they're doing. It is extremely important that innovation makes risk management easier for farmers, making farming more attractive for the next generations", said Gustavo Palerosi Carneiro, Vice President of BASF Agricultural Solutions, at the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in London on 22/09/2025, where News Tank was present.

The executive was taking part in a panel discussion on the future of food security in Europe, along with Arnaud Petit, Executive Director of the International Grains Council, Jens Hartmann, Director of Bayer Crop Science EMEA, Mónica Andrés Enríquez, Vice-President of Yara Europe, and Chris Mitchell, co-founder of Bramble Partners.
