Julien Tchernia announces his departure from Ekwateur, French leading green energy retailer, where he has been CEO and co-founder since November 2015, on 17/09/2025.

The energy provider's Board of Directors appoints Jonathan Martelli, its partner and co-founder, as Chairman with immediate effect. A new CEO will be appointed in the coming weeks to support this transition.

"I leave with immense pride and deep gratitude to all those who believed in this rather crazy project at the time, driven by strong values. What's next? Still entrepreneurial. Always aligned with my convictions: impact, sustainability, transparency, freedom to innovate", says Julien Tchernia.

Julien Tchernia has also been Chairman of the Association nationale des opérateurs détaillants en énergie (Anode / National association of energy retailers) since November 2024. "The presidency of Anode is currently vacant. A general meeting will be held shortly to elect a new president. Several candidates have already declared themselves," the association told News Tank.
