"Ecological restoration projects demonstrate significant growth potential" (Henri Douche, SCOR)

'Our NatReCo initiative is the first of its kind in the insurance world; its purpose is to offer proactive innovative (re)insurance solutions which support nature-resilient projects that address societal challenges. The first solution developed as part of this Initiative focuses on ecological restoration where the goal is to achieve substantive ecosystem recovery relative to an appropriate native reference model. This Ecological Restoration Insurance Solution was launched in May 2024, with Restore, designed for projects in their first phase, and Manage extends the span of our NBS insurance products portfolio to the second phase of Ecological Restoration Programs,’ explained Henri Douche, Head of Product & Innovation at SCOR P&C, in Paris, on 24/06/2025.
