Véronique Ménez is joining the Direction de l'Eau et de la Biodiversité of the DGALN ( Direction générale de l'aménagement, du logement et de la nature / French public General Directorate for Planning, Housing and Nature) as deputy director, she announced on 10/09/2025, in a LinkedIn post. She had been biodiversity advisor to Agnès Pannier-Runacher, the resigning Minister for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, Forestry, the Sea and Fisheries, since October 2024.

Véronique Ménez was also biodiversity, environment, climate, soil and water advisor to Marc Fesneau, then Minister for Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, between March 2024 and September 2024. Prior to that, she was European funds coordinator for ANCTerritoires, since July 2020.
