A call for research projects aimed at developing knowledge of the impact of pollutants and human activities on living organisms, and in particular the impact of transport, is open until 04/12/2025; it has been opened by the French agency Ademe on 05/09/2025.

The call for projects comprises five areas of research, including transport. The aim is to provide reference data, methods and tools to assess the sector's impact on living organisms.

"To optimise all or part of the transport system, academic players and public and private professionals involved in the transformation of vehicles need to design, analyse and/or implement solutions. They therefore need the knowledge and tools required to assess the environmental, health and socio-economic impacts of these solutions and, where necessary, to make choices", says Ademe.

The transport theme has three objectives:
• to produce new environmental and health impact reference data for all or part of the life cycle (extraction of raw materials, manufacture, transport, distribution, use, end of life) of the various transport materials (road, rail…
