FR / Ecological bonus: €1,000 increase for EVs assembled in Europe with European batteries

The existing ecological bonus will be increased by €1,000 for electric vehicles assembled in Europe with a European battery from 01/10/2025, announced Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, Forestry, the Sea and Fisheries, and Marc Ferracci, Minister for Industry and Energy on 08/09/2025.

This bonus is in addition to the ecological bonus financed by the energy saving certificates scheme since 01/07/2025. It will also be financed by the ESCs scheme.

Depending on their income, all households remain eligible for the bonus, which can be worth up to €4,200 towards the purchase of an eligible vehicle that achieves the minimum environmental score. This amount will increase to €5,200 for vehicles with European-produced batteries.

The list of eligible vehicles will be published on the Ademe's website in the next few days and updated each month at the same time as the list of vehicles achieving the minimum environmental score.
