OX2: Matthias Taft appointed Chief Executive Officer

Matthias Taft has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of OX2, the Swedish renewable energy developer announced on 01/09/2025.

The former Chief Executive Officer of BayWa r.e. (2013-2025) succeeds Paul Stormoen, who has headed the company since 2011 and now joins OX2's Board of Directors.

Matthias Taft's objectives will include "strengthening OX2's position as a leading RE company in Europe and Australia".

" Matthias Taft brings more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy industry and will bring a strong vision, strong leadership and a deep understanding of customers", says Xabier Etxeberria, Chairman of the Board of OX2.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, OX2 operates a diversified portfolio in onshore and offshore wind, solar and storage amounting to 33 GW of projects at all stages of development. The company operates in nine markets in Europe and Australia and employs around 500 people.
